Pixel pitch vs. screen size — and why bigger isn't always clearer.
Pixel pitch is the distance in millimeters between the center of one LED and the next. A smaller number means the LEDs sit closer together — higher resolution, sharper detail. Screen size is just the physical dimensions. It sets how big your message looks, not how clear.
A large P10 highway billboard can look just as sharp to a driver at 200 feet as a small P6 sign viewed at 20 feet. Resolution only matters when it's paired with viewing distance.

Resolution vs. brightness — it's not either/or.
The real question isn't which matters more — it's how they work together with size, location, traffic and content to deliver the right result for your application.
Smaller pitches (P6, P8, P10) pack more LEDs into the same space for sharper images and text. Matters most when:

Don't force a sign into an arbitrary budget — a sign that doesn't perform is a missed opportunity, and overspending on specs you can't see adds nothing. Instead ask: Where will it go? Who sees it, from how far? What content? Then match resolution and brightness to those answers.
Cheaper alternatives — what to watch for
7,000 · 8,500 · 10,000 nits — which is right?
A nit measures screen brightness — higher means more visible in direct sun. (Indoor screens run 1,000–2,000; outdoor starts around 7,000.)
Won't wash out in normal daylight.
Weaker in direct south sun or against reflective glass.
Strong balance of brightness & efficiency for mixed light.
The brightest option — cuts through the harshest sun.
Typically P10 only; unnecessary for close-range HD.
