Before install day
Have the 2 dedicated 20 A circuits run and terminated at the sign location, confirm the mounting structure carries 280 lbs per face, and keep the crate upright until you are ready to lift the sections into place.

Tools you supply
13/14 mm ratcheting wrench · 17 mm socket · drill or impact driver · level · tape measure · two people or a lift for each section
Two rules while unpacking
1. Keep the crate upright — the internal bracing only protects it that way.
2. Never rest a section face-down on the LED modules. Support it from the frame edges.

Step by step
Assembly
LED Sign City
4x7 · 88.2″ × 50.4″
Assemble the sign face-down on a padded surface, or standing if you have help. Work left to right from the front — sections are numbered A, B in that order. Seen from the back they run right to left.
1
Identify the cabinet edges
Every section edge is one of three types: an open tunnel with a rubber seal, an open tunnel with a center metal gasket, or a closed tunnel with a solid gasket. Only ever join open tunnel to open tunnel. Every outside edge of the finished sign must end in a closed gasket, or water gets in.
Seat each rubber seal fully before you tighten anything.
2
Bolt the sections together
Line up section A with B so the clear hole meets the threaded hole, then run an M8 bolt through each. Every section has two holes per side, top and bottom. Tighten with the 13/14 mm wrench, then repeat for the remaining joins.
M8 bolts: 8 pieces
3
Fit the X brackets
At every point where four cabinets meet, center an X bracket over the intersection and bolt it down. These are what keep the sign square and flat — do not leave them out on a retrofit.
X brackets: 3 pieces · M10 bolts: 12 pieces
4
Mount the L brackets
Locate the pre-drilled holes on the rear frame, position the L brackets, and secure them with M10 bolts. Extend or reposition them to match your wall, pole or monument structure before you lift the sign.
L brackets: 12 pieces · M10 bolts: 24 pieces
5
Final check before you lift
Walk the front face and confirm the LED modules line up across every seam — a visible step now becomes a visible step forty feet in the air. Then verify: all rubber seals seated, all outside edges closed, every M8 and M10 bolt tight, X and L brackets fastened.

Power, signal and sensors
Wiring
LED Sign City
4x7 · 88.2″ × 50.4″
Every cable is a quick-connect that plugs into a labeled port on the back of the sign. Do not apply power until every connector is seated and latched. Electrical service is not included and must be run by a licensed electrician.
Primary section (A) — four ports
Top right, 4-pin — brightness sensor.
Bottom right, 9-pin — antenna, over 24V PoE.
Top left, 3-pin — main power in.
Bottom left, 9-pin — video signal out to the next section.
Secondary sections (B)
Two 3-pin power ports on top: one receives, one passes power to the next section. Two 9-pin video ports on the bottom: one in, one out. Daisy-chain them in section order and leave the last out port empty.
Order of connection
1. Brightness sensor into the 4-pin port, mounted where it sees ambient light and not your own display.
2. Antenna into the 9-pin PoE port, mounted on or beside the sign for signal.
3. Signal cables between sections, in order A → B.
4. Power to each section — every section gets its own 20 A circuit, not a jumper from its neighbor.
5. Energize, then confirm the whole face lights before you close anything up.

Circuit requirement for a 4x7
2 × 20 A dedicated circuits for a single-sided build, 4 × 20 A double-sided. Total draw is about 24 A at 120V per face (12 A at 240V). A double-sided sign wires as a master face and a slave face, each with its own runs back to the panel.

Startup & support
LED Sign City
4x7 · 88.2″ × 50.4″
Getting your first message up
1. Power the sign and confirm the full face lights evenly.
2. Connect the antenna to your network — we walk you through the repeater setup by phone, or you can point it at your Wi-Fi in the antenna's own admin page.
3. Install the free software on a phone, tablet or PC.
4. Pick a template, type your message, hit send.
5. Book a free training session and we will build your first few ads with you.
Keep these two spares safe
A spare power supply and control card ship in the crate. They cover the two most common failures, and having them on site turns a service call into a ten-minute swap.
Replacing a module later
Every module comes out from the front. Loosen the set screws you can reach from the face, lift the module out, unplug it, plug the new one in, and re-seat it. No lift required if you can reach the face, no rear clearance needed, no technician.
Warranty
Years 1–5: full parts coverage for defects in materials or workmanship. Labor and shipping are not included. Year 6 onward: lifetime system support with advanced-exchange pricing and a guaranteed 40% trade-in credit toward current-generation modules.
Stuck on anything
Call (866) 343-4011 or email info@ledsigncity.com. You reach the people who assembled your sign, not a reseller. Remote support sessions can be booked on the site.
