Pixel pitch is the distance in millimeters between the center of one LED and the next. A smaller number means the LEDs sit closer together: higher resolution, sharper detail. Screen size is just the physical dimensions — it sets how big your message looks, not how clear it is.
A large P10 highway billboard can look every bit as sharp to a driver at 200 feet as a small P6 sign does at 20. Resolution only means something paired with viewing distance.
The real question is not which matters more. It is how the two work together with size, location, traffic speed and the kind of content you plan to run.
A nit measures screen brightness; higher means more visible in direct sun. Indoor screens run 1,000–2,000. Outdoor starts around 7,000.

This is about fit, not better versus worse. P6 and P8 give you higher resolution at 7,000–8,500 nits for closer viewing; P10 trades resolution for up to 10,000 nits and long-distance punch.
